About

Bard College is located in New York’s Hudson Valley, about 90 miles north of New York City. Undergraduates share the beautiful 1,000-acre campus with the students and faculty of a conservatory of music, several graduate programs, and affiliated institutes and research centers, all of which enrich the undergraduate experience with lectures, concerts, and exhibitions.

The mission of the Bard College Archives, located in Stevenson Library, is to preserve the intellectual and social history of Bard College and its place in the development of progressive liberal education. By creating access to its collections through online and physical exhibits as well as through traditional reference work, the Archives seeks to tell the story of the college and the individuals who have created the Bard community through time.

Bard College - Archives and Special Collections is a member of the Southeastern New York Library Resources Council.
