Brooklyn College

The Archives and Special Collections Division of the Brooklyn College Library was established in 1950.We are committed to acquiring, preserving, and providing access to the records of enduring value that document the Brooklyn College community. The department collects both published and unpublished works relating to the unique cultural, social, and historical development of the Borough of Brooklyn and its many and varied neighborhoods.

  • Brooklyn College, Brooklyn Democratic Party Scrapbooks
    The digitized archival materials are from the George A. Wingate, John B. Johnston, and Patrick Quinn Scrapbooks contained in the Records of the Brooklyn Democratic Party at the Brooklyn College Library. The Brooklyn Democratic Party Scrapbook Digitization Project was supported in part by funds from the Metropolitan Library Council (METRO) through the New York State Regional Bibliographic Databases Program.

    The Brooklyn College Student Handbill Collection is comprised of materials that document what took place on the campus ofBrooklyn College over the years. The handbills demonstrate the students involvement in everything-the anti-war rallies,fascism, threats to the United States, inhibitions, defending professors, aid to the Chinese, academic freedom, and much more.
